Device Protection Program (DPP)

New to NSD this year is the assessment of fines for intentional or avoidable damage to devices assigned to students. In order to mitigate the impact on families, NSD is offering a program to address those concerns.  The DPP provides a waiving of 100% of the fee for the first damage reported, 50% of the second, and no waiving of fees for three or more per year.  The cost is $25 dollars per student per year.  Families can purchase the DPP coverage through our online payment system, Touchbase.  DPP cost is waived for families qualifying for Free and Reduced Meals, but they still have to go through the process of purchasing it.  It will give them a cost of $0.  Here is a link to a presentation on the subject.  DPP
